How old is the world?
Most people would say: "Nobody knows."
But the author of the book frequently described as the greatest history book ever written, said the world was created Oct. 23, 4004 B.C. – making it exactly 6,010 yesterday.
In the 1650s, an Anglican bishop named James Ussher published his "Annals of the World," subtitled, "The Origin of Time, and Continued to the Beginning of the Emperor Vespasian's Reign and the Total Destruction and Abolition of the Temple and Commonwealth of the Jews." First published in Latin, it consisted of more than 1,600 pages.
The book, now published in English for the first time, is a favorite of homeschoolers and those who take ancient history seriously. It's the history of the world from the Garden of Eden to the fall of Jerusalem in AD 70.
Of course, there will be those who disagree with Ussher's calculations of time – especially evolutionists who need billions of years to explain their theory of how life sprang from non-life and mutated from one-celled animals into human beings.
Ussher's arrival at the date of Oct. 23 was determined based on the fact that most peoples of antiquity, especially the Jews, started their calendar at harvest time. Ussher concluded there must be good reason for this, so he chose the first Sunday following autumnal equinox.
Although the autumnal equinox is Sept. 21 today, that is only because of historical calendar-juggling to make the years come out right.
If you think this is a startling fact – an actual date for Creation – you haven't seen anything until you've pored through the rest of Ussher's "Annals of the World." It's a classic history book for those who believe in the Bible – and a compelling challenge for those who don't.
The new edition of "Annals" is one of the most significant publishing events of the 21st century.
In this masterful and legendary volume, commissioned by Master Books to be updated from the 17th-century original Latin manuscript to modern English and made available to the general public, is the fascinating history of the ancient world from the Genesis creation through the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple.
Find out:
Why was Julius Caesar kidnapped in 75 B.C.?
Why did Alexander the Great burn his ships in 326 B.C.?
What really happened when the sun "went backward" as a sign to Hezekiah?
What does secular history say about the darkness at the Crucifixion?
Ussher traveled throughout Europe, gathering much information from the actual historical documents. Many of these documents are no longer available, having been destroyed since the time of his research.
Integrating biblical history (around 15 percent of the text is from the Bible) with secular sources, Ussher wrote this masterpiece. Considered not only a literary classic, but also an accurate reference, "The Annals of the World" was so highly regarded for its preciseness that the timeline from it was included in the margins of many King James Version Bibles throughout the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.
"The Annals of the World" is a necessary addition to any church library, pastor's library, or any library – public or personal. The entire text has been updated from 17th-century English to present-day vernacular in a five-year project commissioned by Master Books. Containing many human-interest stories from the original historical documents collected by Ussher, this is more than just a history book – it's a work of history.

How SEXY is your voice? - Voice Coaching
Because of the music, I couldn’t hear the conversation.
He arrives. The girls look at him, all big eyes. He leans over them and opens his mouth. And from that point on, everything goes wrong. Girls look at each other. One smiles a bit and soon after that, they start turning their body language away from him. Boom. It was over before it even started. He picked his pride up from the floor and joined me back to finish our bloody beers.
Equipped already with a high pitched tone voice, when he is in stress, he pushes that even higher. Even if that was not enough… he speaks FAST. And when I say fast, I do not mean, I just-had-a-coffee fast; I mean I just-had-a-speed *blitz* fast.
Seriously John… you sound dreadful.
Voice. One uses it and becomes a politician; another misuses it and can’t order a pizza over the telephone properly.
But as for most human tools, your voice is also OPEN to improvement and development.
Diaphragm
Most people think that it is just the vocals that produce the sound. Others believe that the more hard you push the air out of your lungs, the better your voice sounds.
With the same air speed, you can resonate high, or you can resonate low.
You might want to try an experiment. Say “yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh” long enough. Now try bringing your voice down from the higher pitch to the lowest tone you can. Keep your air speed steady. You will be able to notice that your voice will resonate in three different places as you go from high up the frequency scale to deep down low. First you will resonate at the nose, then you will resonate at your throat, and last and more important you will resonate down at your chest. There is where the bass lies.
Pavarotti, the tenore, sings well because of his much trained diaphragm.
By doing some vocal training, you may learn to move your resonant point further down your body. That is a good thing. People will pay attention to you more often because of that. There was a test once, and it was found that people that have a deep bass voice, people that know how to make plenty of pauses, and people that take their time when they speak, are way more attractive than all the rest.
Notice also that what you do here, is that you control a whole series of organs to bring out an end result: Keep the point of you resonance down to your chest and away from your head. This is done, by trying to breathe deeply from your diaphragm and not shallow from your upper lungs.
You see, all babies and animals breath using the diaphragm. As we stress and move on in life, we make the error and start breathing shallower. There is a misunderstanding in western society. For some bizarre reason, the image of a fit man is one with a strong chest. So, many people when asked to take a deep breath, they start by expanding the upper part of the lungs. My friend, if you want to have a big chest, go to the gym. Breathing high, will not only make you less calm, but will also make you seem more defensive.
Normally, a high pitched voice reminds us of being less calm. Remember the first time you spoke in public, or the last time you were defending your self about something. Your voice was a pitch higher than normal.
If you want to stay calm: keep your breathing deep and your voice as bass as it can go. This will stop any unwanted positive stress feedback phenomena.
Exercises. In order to be de-programmed of this bad way of breathing, you will need up to several months. But it can be done. There are some exercises that do exactly that. You should not to overdo with them and should perform them only after you have talked to a doctor or a voice expert.
Strengthen your diaphragm awareness exercises.
1) Inhale from your diaphragm. Push your stomach up like a balloon. Count silently 1-2-3-4 while inhaling. Count 4-3-2-1 silently while exhaling. This should not be done more than 6 times per day.
2) Inhale from the diaphragm deeply. Exhale slowly. So slowly that, if there was a candle in front of you, you wouldn’t blow it.
3) Keep a strong body language so that you feel better.
Resonance
1) Inhale deeply again. Exhale slowly while resonating from you chest. You should feel the resonance down to your belly. Avoid the nose or the throat. Your exhale should be stable with no tone changes and with no added effort.
2) Perform the same, but this time start visualising that the resonance point looks like an elevator going up and down, as it travels from your nose to your chest.
3) Perform the same, but this time say all the different vocals in the alphabet, until all of them sound with the same tone. You may spot some that are less bass than others. Work them. Speech rhythm
4) Try and find something to read. Read it out loud, while you are able to read at about 160 words per minute.
5) Give feelings to your words. Hit at least two tones. A monotone is *not* an EXCITING voice, to listen to.
Here is a very emotional and inspirational speech. Listen to all the above in action.

Snake Birth(Pics)

Snakes are the most modern of reptiles, first appearing in the fossil record during the time of the dinosaurs. It is thought that they evolved from ground dwelling or burrowing lizards that exploited the survival advantages to be found in a cylindrical, legless body. They gave up external ears and developed clear scales to shield their ever-open eyes from dust and damage. They evolved elongated internal organs, specialized muscles and resilient, scaled skins of varied pattern and color that provided camouflage and some limited protection from predators and the elements. They also evolved a host of instinctive behaviors that enabled them to find and catch prey, hide from predators, reproduce and survive in a great variety of climates. Tunnelling beneath dirt and sand, swimming in the seas, climbing in the crowns of trees and crawling on the land, snakes became integral components of varied ecosystems throughout the world. Some evolved infrared heat sensors to find prey in the darkness of night or burrow. Some developed venoms (and the apparatus to deliver them) of such exquisite complexity and design that - unlike most biochemical substances - they cannot yet be manufactured through biotechnology or genetic engineering. In short, snakes are incredibly successful, unique and remarkable animals, well deserving of our respect and admiration.
Why, then, do so many people burden themselves with an irrational, senseless fear of snakes and an unwarranted prejudice toward them? The answer lies in the power and longevity of myth.
For centuries, snakes have figured prominently in the religions, customs and folklore of people throughout the world. To early humans, snakes must have possessed seemingly magical, almost supernatural attributes. They had the ability to move without legs over and through all types of terrain, vegetation and water. They had the ability to find, capture and eat prey without the aid of appendages, as well as to periodically shed an old skin and the ravages of time to reveal a new, brightly hued mantle. They could arise in the spring, resurrected from the ice of winter, and, in a few cases, could cause sickness or death with a single bite. A science fiction writer could scarcely ask for a better model, so it is not surprising that snakes gave rise to all manner of tall tales and myths.
The fear of snakes is an old, deeply entrenched form of prejudice, born of ignorance and perpetuated through superstition and myth. It is time that we stop judging these fascinating reptiles on the basis of folklore and ignorance.

Female suicide bombers threat to Bhutto

Farooq Naik, a senior lawyer and member of the Senate or upper house of parliament, said the chairperson of the Pakistan People's Party had received a letter that contained the threat.
The letter was purportedly written by the leader of the suicide squad, Naik told Dawn News channel.
Naik indicated that the bombers might be linked to terrorist groups like al-Qaeda.
The development came five days after a suicide attack on Bhutto's homecoming rally in the southern port city of Karachi that claimed nearly 140 lives and injured hundreds more.
Bhutto, who returned to Pakistan on October 18 after eight years in self-exile, had earlier alleged that three senior government officials were behind attempts to assassinate her. She has also claimed that jehadi elements in the establishment who were close to late military dictator Gen Zia-ul-Haq were targeting her.
The government has dismissed her allegations and Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has said that he believes extremists from Pakistan's restive tribal areas bordering Afghanistan were behind the attack on Bhutto's motorcade.
